AND THE WINNERS ARE…Anniversary/Campmeeting Committee Announces Result of Logo Design and Song writing Competitions


SISTERS Adebisi Dawodu and Adesuwa Oduntan of Ojokoro and Somolu Centres in Lagos respectively have won the CCIC 32nd anniversary national logo design and song writing competitions.

This was announced at the media launch for the church’s 32nd Anniversary commemoration and Campmeeting 2013 held at the auditorium of Surulere, Centre recently.
 Adebisi, whose design was modified by the Senior Pastors to their taste, is a graduate of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun state, where she earned the degree of Bachelor of Social and Management Science in Geography and Regional Planning in 2002.
Born on August 1, 1977 in Lagos of Shagamu, Ogun state parentage, Bisi likes to describe herself as “a printer by experience and town planner by profession” She enjoys singing, cooking, reading, learning, travelling and meeting people. 

Winner of the song writing competition, Adesuwa Oduntan, started singing since her primary school days. She wrote her first song while still in the secondary school at Baptist Girls College, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta.

Adesuwa, who holds a B.Sc. degree in Accounting from Lagos State University (LASU), started singing professionally in the year 2007 and has an album titled, “It’s All About You”.  She gave her life to Christ at the Ojokoro Centre of CCIC in 1995, where she has remained a worker in God’s vineyard, serving joyfully in the church choir, The Levites. She has had the opportunity of ministering at a number of CCIC centres including Surulere, Ijesha, Shomolu, Ketu, Oak City and Ibadan, to mention a few, and also at such central programmes as the recent Jabulani concert, which held at the Amuwo Centre. Happily married to Oladimeji Oduntan , they have  two lovely sons.
 
Four other Chapelites won prizes. Bukola Jolaolu of Ikeja and Adediran Mabo (Somolu) came second and third in the logo contest, while David David of Amuwo and Emmanuel Ogebe of Akure City centre were the runners-up in song writing.

Two special mention prizes went to 13-year-old Damilola Eke (Akure city) in recognition of his effort at such young age and Matilda Ekumakama (Ikeja) whose two entries were adjudged good enough to make the top three, if they had addressed the theme directly.
