A busy week of activities will climax later
today with a novelty football match at the Union Bank Sports Club in
Surulere, Lagos.
The match, which will feature Joda Rangers against Ibekwe Rovers promises to be an exciting
evening of good amateur football, as the two teams had walkouts yesterday.
The
novelty match will be preceded by visits to three different Homes: Beth
Torrey Foundation at Imam
College Road, Amuwo Odofin, off Ago Palace way, Amuwo, Lagos; Hearts of Gold Children’s Hospice at
Plot 75 Alhaji Masha Road, Surulere, Lagos and Cheshire Home, 165, Agege Motor Road, Mushin.
Earlier in the week, the last before
Campmeeting 2013, the 32nd anniversary edition of one of Nigeria’s
leading Pentecostal conferences, had seen the church in a number of reach-out
activities.
Tuesday, council chairman, Rev Dan Ibekwe formally cut the tape to declare open a renovated police station in Surulere, on behalf of the Senior Pastor.
On Thursday, some hospitals benefited from the church’s gifts of good quality bed sheets.
