“Overjoyed…Overwhelmed …Humbled…Grateful…”

CHRISTINE JODA
“God is just too much! Nothing like His word, nothing like His presence, nothing like the surprises He places in our pathway just to remind us He has always & will always be in control no matter what it may look like...Overjoyed…Overwhelmed …Humbled…Grateful…I Serve Such A Great God.”
Those words, a public, very public affirmation of the place of God in her life were placed on Christine Joda’s Facebook page only October 1, 2012!
You’ve got ask her for the specifics, though, but those words certainly reveal her heart and ministry. And behind them are years and years of not just hearing the word, living in and around the word, but also of growing in grace through service in the Vineyard.
Little surprises here, though; she is the daughter of the Senior Pastors and founders of this ministry, Rev Dr. Tunde and Rev Mrs Ebun Joda. Born and raised in London, the oldest of three children, she grew up in a strong church foundation with her parents who are two of the most consistent teachers of the word of faith in Nigeria and beyond.
The desire to minister to people, birthed in her by an environment of worship and the word, found expression in singing at a very early age. Her earliest recollection of singing is age four, in her ‘play’ concerts for the family. At eight, she started singing in the church’s children’s choir. Singing her first solo at nine highlighted the zeal in her heart for ministry, her gifting and the anointing on her life. At ten, she was directing the Sunday School Choir. Since the age of 13, she has organised and participated in several youth events and conventions and is also the praise and worship leader for her youth group.

She soon became an authoritative singing sensation with a strong unique voice, and a stage presence that is not only engaging but one that reflects a passion for God’s presence. A singer and songwriter to watch, by the time she was 19, she had already sung some of her own songs, which have blessed the hearts of many.
Today, seven years on, Christine, a Barrister at Law, has been able to influence and motivate other youth to use their gifting especially in the area of singing and music for Christ. She has also ministered in street evangelism during which people have given their lives to Christ.
Although not a first-timer, she’s sure to be one of the revelations of Campmeeting   2012.
